CuePilot helps users create scripts, record teleprompter videos, add captions, and export finished media.
Data users create
Users may create or import scripts, recordings, captions, project metadata, brand assets, and exported videos. In the default local workflow, this content is stored on the user's device.
Device permissions
- Camera, to record videos.
- Microphone, to record audio.
- Speech recognition, to support voice-follow scrolling or captions when enabled.
- Photos, to import media and save exports.
- Local network, to support nearby remote pairing when enabled.
Purchases
Purchases and restores are handled through Apple StoreKit. CuePilot uses StoreKit product identifiers to determine local entitlement state.
Optional cloud, AI, provider, and social features
If the submitted build enables cloud sync, AI rewrite, provider-backed captions, rendering providers, social publishing, or backend-backed share pages, user content may be sent to CuePilot's backend or the named provider to perform the requested action. These features are documented in App Review notes and privacy labels before submission.
Diagnostics
If crash or error reporting is enabled, CuePilot may collect diagnostic events needed to diagnose failures. Diagnostics avoid raw scripts, raw media payloads, access tokens, and provider secrets.
Data deletion
Users can delete local scripts, projects, takes, exports, and app data from the app or device storage. See account & data deletion for the full process.
